Identifying and addressing challenges posed by new technologies regarding privacy and data protection,
Bringing together academic key specialists, law professionals, computer scientists, representatives of industry and activists in a conference that will enable high-level exchange of expertise, in order to obtain a better understanding of the issues relating to this field,
Addressing recommendations to public and private actors in the Brazilian context of privacy and data protection and contributing to the creation of a future legislation in the field.
Introduction
The Seminar has the following objectives:
- Identifying and addressing challenges posed by new technologies regarding privacy and data protection;
- Bringing together academic key specialists, law professionals, computer scientists, representatives of industry and activists in a conference that will enable high-level exchange of expertise, in order to obtain a better understanding of the issues relating to this field;
- Addressing recommendations to public and private actors in the Brazilian context of privacy and data protection and contributing to the creation of a future legislation in the field.
- The Brazilian Internet Steering Committee – CGI.br is sponsoring the Seminar, which is organized in partnership with the Working Group for Information and Communication Technologies from the Federal Public Prosecution and the Getulio Vargas Foundation from São Paulo.
